Principal’s Message

BMPS PrincipalBMPS Takshila owes its name to India’s ancient seat of learning – Takshyashila. Among the other abodes of learning like Nalanda, Vikramashila, Vallavi, etc. Takshyashila occupied a unique place. When BMPS Takshila was conceptualized, it was done with those noble academic goals that our ancient educational hubs characterized.

In the short journey spanning a little more than a decade, the School has come to epitomize a different environment, which provides a conducive atmosphere for growth of children. From a unique child-friendly pedagogy to the school ideal of low students : teacher ratio, the learner is the centre of all activities of the school. Each child is accorded the same opportunity in both scholastic and non-scholastic forums.

However, a decade is a long time for a School to take stock of its achievements and realize the necessary changes it must incorporate to suit the needs of a rapidly changing school ecosystem. The explosion of information industry and sweeping technological metamorphosis have necessitated a change in perspective, goal-setting and modus operandi of our School. There was a time when academic achievement and professional success were the end goals of education. Today, looking at the changing student interface, we at BMPS Takshila, have endeavoured to keep pace with the changing scenario.

The focus now having shifted from academic excellence to being future-ready, we have reassessed our priorities. The skills of our present times like innovation, skills, leadership and teamwork are what our focus has shifted to. Keeping to the ideals proposed by NEP 2020, the school has geared up to face new challenges in the new times.

As our school continues its successful mission, we have many to thank for support and blessings, but no one deserves this more than the parents who have invested their precious child in our school. They are the most important stake holders of our institution. We have always treated our parents and guardians as our partners and will continue to do so. The school needs your feedback and suggestions. So, please be generous in sharing your ideas with us! Here’s wishing you all much success in every area of your life.

We realize that our responsibilities have multiplied manifold with the starting of the +2 classes and we need to put our best foot forward to nurture these adolescents and reach them to their true deserving goal.

Wishing every one good luck and in anticipation of yet another fruitful year

Lipsita Mohanty (Principal)
